There is no site in the ancient world like Pompeii, and so many of its houses, monuments, and artistic treasures have been the subject of a comprehensive, ongoing conservation program.  Invited by the director of Pompeii Sites, XX, Ancient Rome Live has begun a long-term project to share the history of Pompeii and its lesser known sites, as well as ongoing projects of preservation and the newest discoveries.  In this inaugural video, we take a walk around the site, with special stops in the forum, the suburban Villa of the Mysteries, the ongoing conservation of the suburban Villa of Diomedes, new discoveries in Regio V, and a look into the newly opened Antiquarium.  Please enjoy this first of many videos on the site of Pompeii!
