Furniture of Ancient Herculaneum

Dec 17, 9pm CET

Wood was such a great part of the ancient world, but most of it does not survive. An exception is the site of ancient Herculaneum. On the occasion of a new exhibit in Portici (nearby Herculaneum) we’ll examine an impressive assembly of artifacts: tables, a baby’s crib, a bed, wooden ceiling coffers, and more.
