This single arcade in the Campus Martius, by the Circus Flaminius, was once part of a larger construction, possibly a horreum or warehouse. 16C drawings and investigation in the 19C revealed the upper floor is preserved and it was several arcades in length. its proximity to the Tiber suggests a warehouse and its construction points to the late first century AD.
